Variety Freya Fund 2024 - 2025

The Variety Freya Fund is the legacy of Freya Williamson. The Williamson family, who loved and cared for Freya for 21 years have been inspired by their own lived experiences, to provide assistance for families who have children with profound disabilities.  

Variety Freya Fund provides a one-off relief payment of up to $1000 for Tasmanian families who care for a child with a severe physical disability. This fund aims to relieve the burden of the everyday difficulties at times of a medical crisis and when these families are experiencing additional emotional and physical challenges. The Fund is designed to be as flexible as possible for eligible families to suit individual family needs at a time of acute need for relief and for those families who have no other help available to them.  

Eligibility for Variety Freya Fund is carefully thought-out to respect and uphold the dignity of those families. A call to those families at a time of desperate need to let them know they have been nominated and are eligible to receive $1000 relief is the best gift. Recipients should be nominated by a GP, therapist, specialist, teacher, coach or allied health professional.
