Variety WA provides assistance towards children who are sick, disadvantaged or living with disability.

 Eligibility

• Applicants must live in WA.
• Applications can be made on behalf of children who are disadvantaged (social, financial, geographic), living with sickness / chronic illness or disability.
• Applications can only be accepted for children aged 0 to 18 years (at date of submission, including 18).
• Applicants have not received a Variety Grant within the last 12 months.
• Unsuccessful applicants may be eligible to reapply again 3 months after the date on outcome letter.

Documentation Required 

Variety WA recommends consulting with your Key Therapist / Social/Support Worker (or the like) before starting an application so they can best support you through the process.

Some documentation will be required for your application depending on your situation;

• Minimum of 1 strong support letter, two letters are recommended (addressing the following)
  1) Confirmation of diagnosis / condition / circumstances
  2) A description of the requested item/s 
  3) How the requested item/s will be used
  4) Information regarding a trial of the requested item/s or explanation as to why a trial wasn't possible or necessary 
  5) What impact this equipment will have on the child
• 2 quotes for requested item(s)
• proof of income
